End of March was the last day at school. Leaving with mixed feelings. But the boys were looking forward to the easter holidays and the big trip.
The little holiday at the lake before closing up the house was wonderful. As always we went to the Venraay's cottage where we spent some nice days with Kitty, Willie, Uma , Joyce and Mike.
While the children were busy playing, swimming and relaxing, Helma and Kitty worked hard to finish the farewell tablecloth, designed by everyone who was present at the lake.
Then back to filling cartons and checking if the camping gear was OK. The boys enjoyed that very much and camped 3 nights in the tent in the garden together with their best friend Courtney. The weather was great and they woke up early to continue their games on PSP and Gameboy.

Why on earth do we communicate in English I wonder, never mind, its OK. We respect you mixed feelings, 10 years is a long time (wel erg heet!). We wish you a safe and exciting trip, and will stay in touch using the wonders of this weblog.
PS. Do you have Kitty's email? We want to ask her about car rental possibilities for someone who'll be travelling to Malawi.
When you arrive in Holland let us know: de borrel staat koud !

Het is wel stil hier zonder de Zijlstra's hoor !Umma is vandaag naar New L.H. verhuisd voor "een paar" dagen, wel even lekker.
Ze is eerst nog meegeweest naar de ponyrij wedstrijd in Michiru. dat was wel genieten . Joyce won 1e prijs in haar groep. Had ik haar niet gegeven als ik jury was!
We hoorden over overstromingen in Dar. Heb je de auto al als amfibie gebruikt en vond die dat leuk? Heb je trouwens al een naam voor de auto? meeste overlanders geven hun auto een toepasselijke naam...
